CAMSAHT Co-Founder Guido Guberman Presents at Health Profressionals Against Human Trafficking Workshop

On October 16, 2019, CAMSAHT was invited to speak at the Health Professionals Against Human Trafficking workshop, organized by the Federation of Medical Women of Canada (FMWC).

Dr. Kathee Andrews, past-president of FMWC, spoke with CAMSAHT co-founder Guido Guberman, who gave the lecture:

“My goals for our workshop were to help bring interested practicing physicians to a higher level of knowledge regarding human trafficking. This will be a small step towards making other physicians aware of human trafficking and the fact that physicians need have a higher index of suspicion and be better prepared to respond through a trauma informed approach".

The workshop also featured a talk by detective Wendy Leaver, a specialist in human trafficking.
